The Lyric Library in Hartford CT opened their doors in the Frog Hollow community in October of 2021.
I remember as a teenager walking past, biking, running or driving by the old location at 744 Park Street. That location was right in the middle of one of the busiest streets in the city of Hartford CT.
The parades, festivals, car shows, motorcycle groups would showcase all of their best moves and traveled back and forth and around Park Street.
This library was a fixture most residents of the Frog Hollow community knew about and perhaps did not understand the significance of.
Many years later the library would be renamed, branded and rebuilt. The community once again realized the brilliance of the community library and the immense importance of a library as a resource for the Frog Hollow community.
On Tuesday June 11, 2024 I have the honor or being a guest author for their very first Fathers Day book talk and conversation.
I spent many days and nights in that community and am grateful for the opportunity to engage with those in the community who serve as mentors and fathers for the youth of the community.
Thank you Lyric Library for the valuable and important service you offer and provide to the Frog Hollow community.
Happy Fathers/Mentors Day 2024.
